Jai Uttal Kirtan Camp 2007 in Marin County

Namaste!

Twice a year, kirtan legend and Grammy-nominated musician Jai Uttal holds a ten day training to learn the art and practice of kirtan, the ancient devotional practice of singing praises to God. Every training culminates in an 8-hour kirtan lead by all the attendees. This summer's chantfest was a blast...the brilliant drummer Daniel Paul shining as Jai's musical half, Jai & Nubia's son Ezra running around, and yoga teachers Clayton Horton Kari Marble and Mike Hannum sharing the bliss. Lots of love was had by all....and I got to lead the response to "Kali Bolo"with Clark Samson, the Bay Area's unofficial chant ambassador. Thank God Daniel was there to cover for me with his great voice! :)
